2012. From the first night of Code Orange Revival, we knew that God had something big in store for Elevation Church. We prayed with earnest expectation over those 12 nights in January for God to move on our behalf in a mighty way, as He had done so many times before. And He did. He moved again – in a big way. In 2012 alone, we saw 6,079 people make professions of faith in Christ. We saw many of those people take the next step in their faith by getting involved in eGroups and eTeams. We completed our year-long partnership with Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx to give 102,208 service hours and over $1 million back to our city. We connected more than 1,000 at-risk students with new mentors through the M1 Initiative. We continued our mission of reaching people far from God and opened our seventh location, Elevation Gaston. And to close out the year, our church joined together to give over $8 million to our Banner Years offering, giving us the resources to begin taking the next steps in reaching even more people with the life-saving Gospel of Jesus – in the Charlotte area and beyond. We have so many reasons to celebrate and thank God for another banner year in the short life of our church. And one of the ways we’re able to do that is through our annual report. Our 2012 Annual Report will walk you through the year in numbers. It’s a visual testimony reflecting on God’s faithfulness and will help you understand why the work being done in and through this church is a good investment. If you consider yourself a part of our church, I hope as you read through the next several pages, you’ll take time to thank God for His favor, mercy and blessing. And if you’re looking through this report as an outside observer, I hope you’ll be encouraged to commit yourself to the work of God through the local church – here or elsewhere. Be the church. Glorify God. Seven years, and the best is still to come.
