ENTRE O QUE DIZ A LEI 10639/03 E OS DESAFIOS DE ESTUDO DA HISTÓRIA DE RELIGIÕES AFRO-BRASILEIRAS NO AMBIENTE ESCOLAR

Resumo: o presente artigo pretende abordar os desafios de se trabalhar com a lei 10.639/03 e as religiões afro-brasileiras, discorrendo sobre os problemas para a aplicação da lei nas escolas públicas e abordando pressupostos teóricos sobre a religião afro-brasileira, em especial o candomblé. Para concretizar a proposta da pesquisa, foi realizada uma entrevista com alunos da Escola Municipal Faustiniano Ribeiro Lopes, da cidade de São Gabriel, com o objetivo de verificar o que é religião para os alunos e os conhecimentos dos mesmos sobre a temática. Muitas sociedades veêm as religiões de matriz africana de forma preconceituosa, o que se torna um dos motivos para pesquisar sobre o tema, para tentar diminuir e encontrar possibilidades de acabar com essa discriminação, ressaltando que a história e cultura africana é um elemento de fundamental importância para a formação identitária brasileira.

Abstract: This article aims to address the challenges of working with the Law 10.639/03 and african - Brazilian religions, discussing the problems for law enforcement in the public schools and addressing theoretical assumptions about the african - Brazilian religion, especially candomblé. To achieve the research proposal, an interview was conducted with students from the Escola Municipal Faustian Ribeiro Lopes, the city of San Gabriel, in order to ascertain what is religion for students and knowledge on the same theme. Many companies see the African religions with prejudice, which becomes one of the reasons to search on the subject, to try to reduce and find possibilities to end this discrimination, noting that African history and culture is an element of fundamental importance for identity formation in Brazil.
