Abstract
This paper begins with an historical review of the critical theory and the concept of the
Cultural Industry, presenting authors who oppose to specific frankfutian precepts, which will fundament the critical here proposed. Through a retrocess in hypertext´s history, it´s intended here to demonstrate that, with the return of the use of the initial forms of these type of writing, the idea of an unillateral communication proposed by the critical theory fails, since hypertext allows a billateral communication through electronic media. As an important part of this argument, the new context of the web pages, named web 2.0, will also be reffered in this paper.
Keywords: critical theory, Cultural Industry, hypertext, cooperation, web 2.0.
