Filmed in 2002, “A Walk to Remember” soon became a success between teenagers and adults. Based on the novel with the same name, by Nicolas Sparks, the movie enchanted many people around the world. Talking about real love, dreams, and also how we should see the life “A Walk to Remember” is a movie that instantly touched deeply the public’s feeling. Landon Carter, interpreted by Shane West, and Jamie interpreted by Mandy Moore are the teenager protagonists of this movie. The great chemistry between the young actors made the public love the movie as soon as it started.
London Carter is a rebel, rich teenager American boy. Still dealing with his parent’s divorce, London sees himself as the owner of the world. Living in North Carolina, London goes to high school, where everyone knows him because of his handsome face, and also for all the trouble he gets with his friends for being so rebel, and irresponsible. After get in trouble, because one of the students almost died in an accident, London got a punishment by the high school principal. As punishment London had to join at the drama club, where he is forced to interactive with Jamie Sullivan.
Jamie Sullivan is a simple, shy and smart girl. Daughter of a minister, Jamie lost her mother when she was a little girl. With few friends she divides her time between school activities and family chores. In contrast of London, Jamie never gets in trouble. She is involved in many activities, and she always ready to help people who have difficulties problems at school. Without any experience in the drama club, Jamie is the person London asks for help to decorate his phrases for the play at school. As nice as Jamie can be, she tells London she will help him, if he promises her that he will not fall in love for her. Totally sure London guarantees that he will never love her.
