ResuMO
O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar que a par de toda a nossa indiferença, a mão-de-obra infantil sempre participou de todo o desenvolvimento e progresso das civilizações. A exploração dessa atividade remonta o princípio dos tempos, onde as crianças eram incluídas no trabalho artesanal, carpintaria, marcenaria e guarda de rebanho, trazendo a baila toda à exposição da criança a trabalhos forçados. No Brasil, esse é um problema tão antigo como a história do país. Esta questão está associada, embora não sejam os únicos fatores, à pobreza, à desigualdade, à exclusão social existentes, a fatores de natureza cultural, econômica e de organização social. Distinta das convenções internacionais que definem criança como aquele com idade inferior a 18 anos, no Brasil, se considera criança com idade até 12 anos e adolescente a que tem entre 12 e 18 anos incompletos.

The exploration of this activity retraces the beginning of the times, where the children were enclosed in the artisan labor, carpentry, craftsmanship and flock guard, bringing all to the exposition of the children the forced works. In Brazil, this is an old problem as the history of the country. This question is associated, even so is not the only factors, to the poverty, the inequality, the social exclusion existing, the factors of cultural, economic nature and of social organization.
