Resumo
No Brasil, a heterogeneidade das características ocupacionais e das relações entre os agentes econômicos permite o reconhecimento do perfil básico das atividades informais. Este artigo tem como principal objetivo analisar os determinantes da inserção no mercado de trabalho informal nas macrorregiões brasileiras de 2007 a
2009. A análise será feita através da observação de algumas características dos indivíduos utilizando os dados da Pesquisa Nacional de Amostra Domiciliar (PNAD). Conclui-se que as mulheres, os idosos, aqueles com menor experiência profissional e nível de qualificação, no setor agrícola, e aquelas que recebiam segurodesemprego, tiveram maior participação no setor informal. Verifica-se, portanto, a importância das políticas de emprego e de educação voltadas à redução da informalidade e os efeitos das desigualdades regionais.
