The character I’m gonna talk about is Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise was born as Thomas Cruise Mapother IV in 3rd of July, 1962, in Syracuse, New York (US). He is known as an American film actor and producer.
He spent part of his childhood in Canada where he studied, namely at the Henry Munro Middle School, where he attended drama classes.
His first play was called IT, about good and evil.His role was "Evil", a performance which gave him his first prize, of the many awards Cruise won during his career.

In the movies, Cruise had several relations throughout his life.
First with the actress Rebecca De Mornay but he would first marry Mimi Rogers in 1987.
After their divorce in 1990, Cruise met his second wife Nicole Kidman on the set ofthe film Days of Thunder, where they both had the leading roles. They married on that same year and adopted two children, Isabella Jane and Connor Antony, but after 11 years of marriage they separated.
Cruise then dated actresses Penélope Cruz and later Katie Holmes to whom he would marry. The couple had a daughter named Suri, born in April 2006.
A curiosity: Cruise married Katie Holmes inItaly, in a Scientology ceremony, a church which devoted to the practice and promotion of the Scientology belief system.
Scientology is based on the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, others, and all of life. The followers are called Thetans, which believe in one's spiritual existence and one's relationship to God. They believe they are immortal alien spirits trapped onplanet Earth in a human body. They have had past lives and lived in extra-terrestrial cultures before they arrive on Earth.

Tom Cruise started his career in 1981 in Endless Love and Taps films, but his first leading role happened two years later in the comedy Losin' It and in Risky Business.
But only in 1986 he played a role, of a heroic naval pilot,which made him so popular and financially successful actor: it was on blockbuster Top Gun.
Tom Cruise is also a producer. In 1993 he formed the Cruise/Wagner Productions with Paula Wagner, a company which has co-produced several of his films, namely the Mission: Impossible in 1996.

His playing as a secret agent in Mission: Impossible action films series continued with other success films such as Top Gun, Days of Thunder, Magnolia, Minority Report, The Last Samurai, Collateral and War of the Worlds.

In the ‘80s
Cruise first appeared in 1981 Endless Love and Taps on supporting roles.His first starring role came in 1983 comedy Losin' It, followed by All the Right Moves and Risky Business.
But it was Top Gun which truly started to cement his status as a star. The film was a huge success all over the world, namely among the feminine fans.
Cruise’s career then followed with The Color of Money, a film with Academy Award-winner Paul Newman.
In 1988 he won the Razzie Award (whichprizes the worst films and performances) for Worst Actor for Cocktail.
But he continued its ascending career, winning his first major award for Best Supporting Actor in Rain Man, where he starred with Academy Award-winner Dustin Hoffman.
Cruise finished the ‘80s portraying a paralyzed Vietnam War hero in Born on the Fourth of July. He won his first Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for a MotionPicture Drama, among other important awards. This film was also Cruise's first Best Actor Academy Award nomination.
In the 90’s
Interview with the Vampire, a gothic drama/horror film was his success in 1994, with Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas and Christian Slater.
Two years later, he became the superspy Ethan Hunt in the reboot of Mission: Impossible (based on a 1966 TV series).
