RESUMO Desde os tempos mais remotos, as pessoas, quando em viagem, necessitavam de um lugar no qual lhes fossem fornecidas alimentação e um local seguro para repousar. Assim, surgiram as primeiras hospedarias, que desde então, não pararam de evoluir, e hoje, se tornaram em hotéis que valorizam cada vez mais o bem estar de seus hóspedes. Nosso trabalho aborda um hotel que recebe clientes que estão na cidade a negócios, sendo este um ramo da prestação de serviços, que apresenta um notável crescimento nos últimos anos, além da grande rentabilidade que proporciona aos investidores. Isso por causa do baixo custo operacional e das elevadas taxas de ocupação. O Hotel Canadá foi alvo de nossas pesquisas, onde foi feito um levantamento das suas áreas administrativas, operacionais e junto de seus clientes, onde de maneira simples e objetiva, abordarmos suas características, aspectos positivos e negativos na administração e, por fim, recomendações para uma melhor gestão do negócio.

ABSTRACT
