INTRODUCTION

M. Lynne Morkas specializes in the organizational issues that surround the use of advanced information technologies. Among these are the impacts of computer-based technology, res/stance to systems, requirements onalysis for office automation, structuring and managing the information systems resource in organizations, and strategic planning for information technology. She also has experience in organizational development, primarily in manufacturing and health core organizations. M. Lynne Markas is the author of Bugs and Features: An Organizational Perspective on Systems (Pitman Publishing, 1984) and articles in such journals as Human Relations, Computerworld Office Automation, Organizational Dynamics, and Computer Decisions.She is a member of the editor/a/board of a new journal on office automation: Office Technology and People.
