"Vacupacks". Vacupacks are sold solely in Germany by the HVG. In the 5 kg Vacupacks not only cone hops but also ground hop powder is packed under vacuum and sealed. This type of packaging does not only reduce the volume it also protects the components from being damaged by oxygen.

VACUPACKS are ideal for breweries which do not want to go without using cone hops despite the diversity ofvarious hop products.

Hop Pellets in Bags.
The equipment is designed for the automatic dosage of hop pellets (type 45 and type 90). The hop pellets are delivered in foil bags.

Hop storage tanksare manually filled (e.g. once a week) with hop pellets

Hop Pellets in Boxes
The equipment is designed for the automatic dosage of hop pellets (type 45 and type 90). The hop pellets are delivered in carton boxes with a maximum capacity of 150 kg.
The boxes are of standardized dimension and have an air-tight inner foil. All hop pellets suppliers offer their product in this packaging.Advantages of carton boxes:

[pic]Minimum amount of packaging material in relation to the product amount.
[pic]Optimal space utilisation: 4 cartons on one pallet (= 600 kg hop pellets per m²),
[pic]3 stackable pallets (= 1,800 kg hop pellets per m²).
[pic]Hop pellets remain in air-tight packaging, oxidation is prevented.

Barcodes on each box provide breweries with the option of tracing theprocessing of the hop pellets.
Hop Extract - (CO2 extract and ethanol extract)
Tin Cans
The equipment is designed for the automatic dosing of hop extract (CO2 extract and ethanol extract) and other hop products. The product is delivered in tins with a maximum capacity of 20 kg
The tins are opened manually and placed on a metal grating inside the buffer tank. The buffer tank is built within a heatedchamber so that the product is liquefied and emptied into the buffer tank..
Drums
The equipment is designed for the automatic dosing of hop extract (CO2 extract and ethanol extract) and other hop products. The product is delivered in drums with a maximum capacity of 200 kg.
The drums are either made of steel plate or plastic.
The drums are transported using a drum lifter which allows for easytransportation from the storage room to the dosing unit. The drums are lifted hydraulically.

The drum is brought into the heated chamber to liquefy the hop extract. The heated chamber has space for one drum.

Chamber electrically heated with circulating air fan. Maximum temperature 60°C (104°F).

Containers

The equipment is designed for the automatic dosing of hop extract (CO2 extract and ethanol extract) and other hop products. The product is delivered in containers with a maximum capacity of 1,200 kg.
The containers are transported to the dosing unit with a forklift truck.
The container is brought into the heated chamber to liquefy thehop extract. The heated chamber has space for up to 3 containers according to the brewery's hop extract requirement. Alternatively, 200 kg drums can be used.
Once the hop extract is liquefied, the container or drum is completely emptied into the buffer tank. The tank is equipped with an agitator, improving the viscosity and homogeneity of the hop extract.
