RESUMO
Abortar é o ato de interromper a gravidez antes de o feto atingir a capacidade de viver fora do organismo da mãe. São várias as formas e métodos de aborto existentes atualmente, não só no Brasil, mas em todo o mundo. Também são vários os pontos de vista a respeito do tema. Temos a lei que coíbe veemente, na maioria dos casos sem sucesso, a prática do aborto. Temos a Igreja, com toda a sua força que vem pregando que o aborto é um crime contra a vida de outra pessoa. Por outro lado, temos o lado social: as condições financeiras, o nível de instrução de todos no nosso imenso Brasil, onde a decisão de abortar pode ser tomada em qualquer lugar e a qualquer momento, pois sempre haverá uma clínica clandestina pronta a realizar a vontade da mulher, sem ter o mínimo de ética, e também sem respeito pelo direito que as mulheres têm de escolha, escolha essa que deverá ser feita dentro dos termos da lei.

ABSTRACT
Abortion is the act of terminating the pregnancy before the baby reaches the ability to live outside the mother's body. There are various forms and methods of abortion available today, not only in Brazil but all over the world. Also there are several points of view on the subject. We have a law which limits strongly, in most cases without success, the practice of abortion. We have the Church, with all its strength has been preaching that abortion is a crime against another person's life. On the other hand there is the social side: the financial condition, level of education of everyone in our vast Brazil, where abortion decision can be taken anywhere and at any time because there will always be an illegal clinic ready to carry out the will women, without the least ethical, and also the right that women have or not to perform abortion, the main arguments used to justify pra practice of abortion.
