Executive summary

GoPro is the world’s leading activity image capture company. The company started in 1990, based in Half Moon Bay (California) as GoPro, Inc. and operates as a subsidiary Woodman Labs Inc. of San Mateo, California.
In the early years, Nicholas Woodman only had a vision to develop wrist straps that could tie cameras to the wrists of surfers to shoot their performances while they're in scene. He used the first prototypes on a surf trip to Australian and Indonesia, in October 2001. He developed his idea and took photos with different camera models while surfing. After this trip, Woodman was sure that he should to sell the wrist strap, the camera and the device casing together in one package.
He came back from his trip and started to work in this project and after 2 years launched the first camera "GoPro 35mm Hero", in September 2004 at San Diego Action Sports Retailer trade show.
