New York City (also referred to as "New York", "NYC", "The Big Apple", or just "The City" by locals), is the most populous city in the United States. It lies at the mouth of the Hudson River in the southernmost part of the state, which is part of the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.
Places to see in New York: New York is a vibrant and eclectic place. There is an incredibly diverse range of things to see and do- but there are a few attractions like no other. No visit to New York City is complete without visiting the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.
