Resumo – Este trabalho investigou o comportamento dos distribuidores de águas minerais envasadas, objetivando identificar o grau de conhecimento e atendimento às leis que regulamentam o transporte e armazenamento desse produto, bem como as condições de transporte, armazenamento e exposição do produto ao consumidor. Foram entrevistadas trinta pessoas, responsáveis por pontos comerciais de distribuição de águas envasadas, no município de Cruz das Almas (BA). Os resultados permitiram estratificar não só a forma de transporte e armazenamento praticados, como o grau de conhecimento, dos distribuidores, sobre os dispositivos legais que regulamentam tais práticas. Os resultados denotam a importância e urgência em dar conhecimento e cobrar dos distribuidores o cumprimento das exigências legais, para que haja maior segurança na qualidade da água fornecida, evitando a contaminação por meios de armazenamento e transporte incorretos, gerando uma melhor qualidade da água entregue ao consumidor.
Abstract – Abstract - This study investigated the action of bottled water distributors in order to identify the level of knowledge and compliance to the laws that rule its transportation and storage, as well as how the product is transportated, storaged and displayed to the consumer. Thirty people, responsible for bottled water’s commercial distribution points in Cruz das Almas-Bahia, were interviewed. The results allowed the stratification, not only the means of transportations and storage, as the degree of knowledge of the distributors on the regulations ruling such practices. The results show the importance and urgency on educate distributors on the compliance of legal requirements, for to increase the safety on the quality of water supplied, avoiding contamination caused by incorrect storage and
