RESUMO

O artigo apresenta como tema principal o benchmarking, ferramenta importante para a gestão empresarial que vem sendo utilizada cada vez mais pelas organizações que tem por objetivo promover a inovação e a busca pela excelência, em virtude do oumento de competitividade no mundo dos negócios, buscam melhor qualidade contínua de seus produtos, serviços e procedimentos. O benchmarking tem o processo de gerar informações importantes para que as organizações tenham diversas maneiras de lidar com situações e desafios comuns entre elas, e assim contribui para que elas possam resolver seus próprios processos de trabalho. O benchmarking é a arte de descobrir como e por que algumas empresas podem desempenhar melhor e com excelência muito mais tarefas do que outras.
