Aerosmith is an American rock band formed in the beginning of 70’s, in Sunapee, New Hampshire. In the end of 1970, the band went to Boston and the signed a contract with Columbia Records and released the first album called Aerosmith. Over the years, Aerosmith achieved the success and spots on the charts in the United States. Despite of achieving this huge success the band had to deal with a major issue, the addiction to drugs and alcohol. Tyler and Perry were called the Toxic Twins, because they were always high. Actually, the group did a few drug rehab programs. In 2001, they had the privilege to perform in the halftime of the Super Bowl, huge event on the United States. They have 15 albums, and the band achieved 25 gold, 18 platinum and 12 multi-platinum from the Recording Industry Association of America. Aerosmith has had 21 singles in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, like, Dude (looks like a lady), Dream On, I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing, Walk This Way, Sweet Emotion, Crying, Amazing, Crazy, etc. The group has done already 26 tours and they are doing their 27. Aerosmith sold more than 150 million albums worldwide and 66 million in the U.S, they are referred as the best selling American rock band. Aerosmith has collected seven American Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, two People's Choice Awards, sixteen Boston Music Awards, and numerous other awards and honors. They were inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 2001, in fact the band is so important that in the state of Massachusetts there is an Aerosmith
