RELIGION AFTER THE
CRITICISM OF RELIGION
Resumo Sustentado em razões sistemáticas ligadas à história dos conceitos, este artigo defende que, diante do desenvolvimento da filosofia pós-hegeliana, cabe falar da superação da crítica da religião pela reflexão filosófica sobre a religião. O artigo traça reflexões sobre a história do conceito de religião e de filosofia da religião, chegando, na filosofia da Era Moderna, à crítica da religião. Identifica, porém, que, ao desenvolver uma concepção de razão crítica passível de concordância universal, a filosofia contemporânea prescinde da idéia de filosofia da religião como crítica à religião. Na medida em que o programa de uma crítica da religião filosoficamente fundamentada se torna cada vez mais questionável, faz-se necessária a redefinição da relação entre filosofia e religião.

Abstract Based on systematic reasons related to the history of concepts, the present article sustains that, in the face of post-Hegelian philosophy, it is necessary to deal with the overcoming of the criticism of religion through the philosophical reflection of religion. The article reflects on the history of religion and philosophy of religion concepts, reaching, in the Modern Era’s philosophy, the criticism of religion. Nonetheless, it shows that upon developing a concept of critical reason susceptible of universal agreement, the contemporary philosophy renounces the idea of philosophy of religion as the criticism of religion. Since the program of a criticism of religion philosophically grounded becomes more and more questionable, it is necessary to
