RESUMO
Este artigo é uma biografia sobre John Craig Venter, um dos principais cientistas do século XXI devido às suas contribuições visionárias na pesquisa genômica. Antigo surfista californiano que virou visionário científico, Venter Faz parte de uma das aventuras científicas mais importantes, mais empolgantes e possivelmente mais benéfica de todos os tempos: a decodificação do genoma humano. Tornou-se rapidamente o primeiro grande avanço científico do milénio, ao sintetizar pela primeira vez vida artificial.

ABSTRACT
This article is a biography of John Craig Venter, one of the leading scientists of the twenty-first century due to his visionary contributions in genomic research. Old Californian surfer-turned scientific visionary, Venter Take part in one of the most important, most exciting and possibly more beneficial scientific adventures of all time: the decoding of the human genome. Quickly became the first major scientific breakthrough of the millennium, to synthesize first artificial life.
