Abstract
Exposure to physical agents in the workplace is a source of health risks and undermine the well being of workers. The article aims to identify and quantify the magnitude of the noise potential physical risk to the emergence of occupational disease and potentially harmful to workers' health. The article approach the protection of workers in relation to the employment environment and natural resources employees, by recognizing and evaluating the physical agent continuous or intermittent noise that will provide the basis for the control of Occupational Risks existing in the workplace evaluated. The case study was conducted in the metalworking sector in a midsize furniture company.
