LOGÍSTICA HUMANITÁRIA E LOGÍSTICA EMPRESARIAL: RELAÇÕES,
CONCEITOS E DESAFIOS.

RESUMO
Situações de natureza emergencial como desastres naturais (furacões, enchentes, terremotos, maremotos), atentados terroristas, guerras e outros eventos deste tipo exigem um tratamento logístico especial, que vem sendo denominado de logística humanitária, um conceito ainda muito novo no Brasil, mas que vem sendo crescentemente estudado em países da Europa e nos Estados Unidos. O presente artigo busca definir, comparar e contrastar a logística humanitária com a logística empresarial, identificando os desafios a serem enfrentados pela logística humanitária, medidas de desempenho a serem adotadas, buscando trilhar o caminho para uma integração efetiva entre o meio acadêmico, as organizações de assistência humanitária e a esfera governamental.
A abordagem busca transcender o enfoque tradicionalmente empresarial e mostrar como os conceitos logísticos podem ser utilizados quando estamos diante de situações de emergência.
ABSTRACT
Situations of emergencial nature such as natural disasters (hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tidal waves), terrorist attacks, wars and other events of this type demand special logistic treatment, which is being called humanitarian logistic, a still very new concept in Brazil, but which has been increasingly studied in European countries and the
United States. The present article aims to define, to compare and to contrast the humanitarian logistic with the business logistic, identifying the challenges to be faced by the humanitarian logistic, performance measures to be adopted, searching to pave the way for an integration between the academic world, the humanitarian assistance organizations and the government. The approach aims transcending the traditional business approach and
