O DEBATE ENTRE HISTÓRIA E RELIGIÃO EM UMA BREVE HISTÓRIA DA HISTÓRIA DAS RELIGIÕES: origens, endereço italiano e perspectivas de investigação Adone Agnolin*

Resumo
Com o presente artigo pretendemos apresentar, primeiramente, o percurso sumário dentro do qual se originou a específica trajetória de investigação da escola italiana de História das Religiões, a partir de sua postura crítica frente à vertente sistemática e àquela da fenomenologia religiosa. Essa primeira parte serve ao escopo de historicizar, minimamente, a própria disciplina, antes de apontar, na segunda parte, para as peculiaridades, os objetivos e os instrumentos precípuos da História das Religiões propriamente dita. Levando em consideração as origens mais gerais da disciplina e apontando para a especificidade do endereço de estudos italiano, delinearemos, então, algumas perspectivas de investigação tendo em vista destacar como a abordagem metodológica de estudos histórico-religiosos, nascida na Itália com a obra pioneira de Pettazzoni, problematiza significativamente a relação e o debate entre História e Religião.

Abstract
In the present article we intend to present, at first, the summary route within which has been originated the specific investigative trajectory of the Italian school about History of the Religions, departing from its critical posture in face of both the sistematic tendency and that one of the religious phenomenology. The first part benefits the goal of historicizing, at least, the discipline itself, and than focusing the peculiarities, in the second part, as well as the objectives and the essential instruments of the History of the Religions. Taking into consideration the general origins of the discipline, and pointing out the specific aspects of the Italian address of studies, we will outline some perspectives of investigation, aiming to highlight how the methodological approach of historical-religious studies, born in Italy with Pettazoni’s pioneer work, expressively
