RESUMOEste artigo apresenta o controle de constitucionalidade e suas formas, explica o que vem a ser o controle preventivo e repressivo, apresenta também a forma difusa e concentrada de controle de constitucionalidade, em seu propósito transcreve uma parte da história jurídica de dois países, Portugal e Brasil, as modificações ocorridas referentes ao controle de constitucionalidade destes, até chegar a sua forma consolidada. Ao decorrer dos fatos transparece a influência do Brasil na formação do sistema português.

ABSTRACT
This paper presents the control of constitutionality and its forms, explains what happens to be preventive and repressive control, also shows the diffuse and concentrated control of constitutionality in its purpose transcription of part of the legal history of two countries, Portugal and Brazil, the changes that occurred for the control of constitutionality of these, until its consolidated form. In the course of events transpires Brazil's influence in the formation of the Portuguese legal system.
