Bill Gates, or William Henry Gates III was born in the city of Seattle, in October 28th 1955. His father was a successful lawyer and his mother was a professor in the University of Washington. Money was not a problem, so Bill had the opportunity to attend the best Universities in the United States, like Lakeside College and Harvard.
His first contact with computers was in Lakeside College, 1968. With his friend Paul Allen, he started the development of programs for big companies and in 1975, they moved to New Mexico. Working for the MITS, they started to make programs for the first computer, the Altair BASIC.
In 1976, they founded Microsoft. In this new company, both start to create softwares with the purpose of having a less-costing purchase of softwares rather than having the companies making their own. With the business in expansion, in 1979, he decides to move the company to Seattle. In the following year, they make a contract with IBM, which wants to obtain his OS.
In 1980, Gates did a partnership with Steve Jobs promising an anti-virus software.
