POLÍTICA LINGÜÍSTICA: FORMAÇÃO HISTÓRICA E INFLUÊNCIA DO
PORTUGUÊS DO BRASIL NO MUNDO ATUAL*

RESUMO
Neste artigo, procurou-se discutir a formação da língua portuguesa e sua respectiva influência no mundo atual por meio de estudo sincrônico-diacrônico, no qual analisaram-se fatos históricos, sociais e lingüísticos.
Esta
pesquisa foi desenvolvida com o objetivo de constatar os mecanismos de política lingüística que explicam como se originou a Língua
Portuguesa e mostrar a relevância do ensino do Português para os diversos povos. Para melhor organizar as idéias, o conteúdo está dividido em duas partes, em torno dos subtemas que abordam 1) disputas na Ibéria antiga e história da
Língua Portuguesa; e 2) ensino do
Português no mundo.

ABSTRACT
In this article, , the aim was to discuss the formation of the Portuguese Language and its influence in the current world through a synchronic-diachronic approach, in which historical, social and linguistic facts were analyzed. This research was developed order to verify the mechanisms of linguistic politics that explain how the Portuguese
Language originated and to show the relevance of Portuguese Language teaching for different people in the world. In order to properly organize the ideas, the content was divided in two parts around the sub-themes that approach i) the disputes in Ancient
Iberia and the history of the Portuguese
Language; and ii) Portugues Language teaching in the world.
