Passenger killed when blast sucks him out of jetliner

São Paulo, Brazil - A passenger was sucked out of a passenger jet and fell to his death Wednesday after an explosion, possibly caused by a bomb, tore a hole in the fuselage, the airline said. The TAM airline Fokker-100 made an emergency landing at São Paulo's airport following the blast at the rear of the plane.
A statement by the company said the explosion was caused by "an object possibly located in te 16th row of seats". The blast tore a large hole in the fuselage and caused damage to the inside of the aircraft. TAM said six of the 61 passengers and crew on board flight 283 were injured in the emergency landing. Cavati said there was a loud explosion at the back of the aircraft shortly after take-off from Sao Jose dos Campos. The plane was flying from Vitoria in Espirito Santo state to São Paulo with a stopover in São Jose dos Campos.
