Citizen Kane, from the acclaimed Orson Welles, was a film that didn't have pretensions to be a revolutionary in the history of the cinema, but it was. Written in 1941, the film continues so current, complex and replete of unknowns that still today wakes up the intellectual public's attention. The film is explicitly based on William Randolph Hearst’s life, the owner of most of the american communication means during the first half of the century XX. Daniel Salomão, in his text Porque Citizen Kane continua atual até os dias de hoje? , says that many say that the magnate got to receive a copy of the script and preferred to maintain himself neutral, sending a journalist to watch the filmings. Once the same considered the film an offense to Hearts, he began the persecution of the film, besides forcing critical to publish negative reviews and to offer money for the destruction of the negatives of the film. Thinking about that, Daniel Salomão still proof that Citizen Kane's present time was revealed in Brazil. For that, he sends the reader to the beginning of the decade of 1990, moment in what the BBC of London produces a documentary pointing all of the madness committed by the Rede Globo (as the manipulation of the electoral debate between Lula and Collor, the partnership with the government during the Military Dictatorship and the non publishing of the “Diretas Já”). The documentary was exhibited in the Mostra de Cinema de São Paulo and the first sessions was canceled due to a mandate of apprehension of the film done by the governor, that considered offensives all the information exhibited, and, mainly, the famous scene in wich Roberto Marinho blinks the eyes with a plim-plim and he has his body taken by cockroaches. All this just ratified the fact that the great midia didn't change a lot in the period between 1940 and 1990. And, certainly, it continues “walking in the same bush”. Among the reasons for Citizen Kane's success, considered the best film of all
