Paralisia cerebral

O objetivo desse estudo foi avaliar o perfil clínico e epidemiológico das crianças com paralisia cerebral (PC) internadas numa UTIP de um hospital terciário da rede SUS. Trata-se de um estudo retrospectivo e descritivo onde foram analisados os prontuários das crianças com PC internadas no período de janeiro 2005 a janeiro 2007. Dos 246 prontuários analisados, apenas 18 eram de crianças PC. Esse estudo revelou que lactentes masculino, desnutridos e gastroostomizados, acompanhados por equipe multidisciplinar, com internamentos prévios na UTIP e história de pneumonias de repetição formaram o perfil dos encefalopatas crônicas A hipóxia perinatal foi a principal causa de ECNE entre esses pacientes. Os resultados mostraram a importância de uma melhor condução dessas crianças a fim de diminuir as co-morbidades e oferecer uma melhor qualidade de vida.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this study was to evaluate the clinical profile and epidemiologist of the children with cerebral palsy (PC) interned in a UTIP of a tertiary hospital of SUS. One is about a retrospective and descriptive study where the handbooks of the patient with PC interned in the period of January 2005 to January 2007, had been analyzed. Of 246 analyzed handbooks, only 18 were of children PC. This suckling study it disclosed that masculine, unfed and gastroostomy, following for team to multidiscipline, with previous internments in the UTIP and history of repetition pneumonias had formed the profile of this chronic encefalopats. Neonatal hypoxia was the main cause of None Evaluative Chronic Encephalopathy between these patients. The results had shown the importance of the follow up of these children in order to diminish the co-morbidities and to offer one better quality of life.
