VIAGEM AO PEQUENO GRANDE MUNDO DA NANOARTE

RESUMO
Este texto é o resultado de minha pesquisa atual sobre nanoarte. Abrange pequena definição de nanotecnologia e arte e se estende àquilo que é produzido sob esse nome.
Traz informações quanto ao andamento de meu projeto de arte de uma instalação, que tem por base três imagens geradas pelo microscópio eletrônico de varredura: de uma árvore, de uma de suas sementes e de uma árvore petrificada. Meu interesse reside nas diferenças estruturais dos materiais e de como posso transformar, de maneira poética, a percepção desse mundo minúsculo, em arte.

ABSTRACT
The text refers to my research on nanoart. It includes a short definition on nanotechnology and on the different art work that have been done in the interchange between art and nano science. The text informs on the development of an art installation of mine generated on three images scanned by Scanning Electronic Microscopy: a tree bark, a seed and a petrified tree. My main interest is how can I make art using the perception of this nano world.

Roger (Malina) - you mentioned I think in your latest response that arts and science have different goals. No they don't. Science is a creative process - if we unweave rainbows it is usually only to reveal another mystery - science is just following a different methodology. I don't think art is really just about expression. It is another way of understanding.
