Introduction (Biography)
Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born in 17 of February of 1963 in Brooklyn New York, he has 1.98 m and weighs 98 Kg. His family moved to Wilmington in North Carolina, when he was still a child. Jordan is the fourth of five sons, has 2 brothers and 2 sisters, which are: Ronnie, Larry, Delores and Roslyn.
His father, Jordan James, worked in a electrical workshop and his mother, Dolores Peoples worked in a bank. Jordan had a reasonably comfortable life. He was married for 17 years with Juanita Vanoy and they had 3 sons: Jeffrey, Marcus and Jasmine, two of them play basketball.
In school, Jordan started to develop the interest for sports. He played football, baseball and obviously basketball. Its funny that the team that represented his school dismissed him because he wasn’t tall enough, but his brother was admitted. In his free time he used to surf waves as tall as 3 meters at J-bay.
In 1981 he entered the North Carolina University basketball team, were he played until 1984. And it was in this time that the nicknames like “air Jordan” or “his airness” started, he was called like this because of his amazing jumping skills and his monstrous dunks.
He was the third pick in the NBA draft, and was chosen by the Chicago Bulls. In his first season he won the “Rookie of the year” award. In the next season he broke his foot and lost 64 games before coming back for the playoffs. In 1987 was elected as MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the season but it was a season were the Bulls lost the championship to the Detroit Pistons.
Between 1990 and 1993, Jordan led the Chicago Bulls in the conquest for three consecutive titles, being elected MVP in 1991 and 1992 and won the finals MVP award in all the three seasons.
In 1994, after losing his father, Michael announced that he was leaving the basketball to go play baseball in honor of his father. He played one season in two minor league teams: the
