Abstract:

Dengue is considered a disease of greatest public health problem, mainly in tropical countries, which have favorable conditions for development and proliferation of its vector. Brazil is the country of the Americas has the largest number of cases and affects people of all states and levels social different. As the city of Caxias do Sul, the first city that had record of the focus of Aedes aegypti in Rio Grande do Sul in 1995. According to data epidemológicos of SINAM detected in the first quarter of 2012 the occurrence of 219 confirmed cases by municipalities resident. Since the northern coast, Morrinhos South and Capon of the Canoe, had a confirmed case. And in the Report Entomological Surveillance by Municipality of March 2012, shows that in Three Falls and San Antonio Patrol were recorded two cases of the larva A. aegypti. Therefore, the study aims to survey indices occurrence of mosquito larvae and A. aegypti, and the virus infection even in the districts of the northern coast of Rio Grande do Sul, in the first quarter of 2012. It is believed that this work can be minimized diseases caused by A. aegypti taking relatively simple measures in day-to-day population. And so to eradicate the mosquito that transmits dengue, alerting population of the importance of preventing and serve as multipliers of these Information.
