Resumo: Este artigo apresenta concepções sobre a Educação de Jovens e Adultos da Escola Municipal de Educação Infantil e Ensino Fundamental Ernestina Martins das Neves, em Agrovila de Iracema, zona rural do Município de Castanhal/PA. Inicia-se esse trabalho com uma pequena trajetória das conferências Nacionais e Internacionais a partir das discussões sobre a Educação de Jovens e Adultos e o amparo da Lei que legitima essa modalidade de ensino, expostos no breve histórico da EJA no Brasil. Durante o percurso nos deparamos com a relação estudo e trabalho, pautado numa realidade da zona rural, mostrando os desafios encontrados pelos alunos que estudam na EJA. Nessa direção todo o delineamento da pesquisa de campo, expondo a realidade dos sujeitos pesquisados, socializando os resultados surpreendentes, à vontade dos alunos em concluir os estudos, mesmo diante das dificuldades socioculturais.

Abstract: This article presents views on the Education of Youth and Adults at the Municipal School of Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education Ernestina Martins das Neves in Agrovila Iracema, rural municipality of Castlebay / PA. Begins this work with a small trajectory of national and international conferences from the discussions on the Education of Youth and Adults and the protection of the law that legitimizes this type of education, exposed in the brief history of adult education in Brazil. During the journey we encounter the relationship work study, based on a reality of the countryside, showing the challenges faced by students studying in the EJA.
