SEGURANÇA NO TRABALHO ATRAVÉS DO USO DE EPI’S: ESTUDO DE CASO REALIZADO NA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL DE SANTA MARIA

ABSTRACT In response to an increasingly global and competitive environment, the quality philosophy is being actively pursued by corporations but, is impossible to get quality where has insecurity. However, in many organizations, the Security in the Work Programs are still inefficient. This paper propose to discuss the importance of the security in the work and the need of the Individual Protection Equipment (IPE) to get it. In a second time it presents the results of one exploratory research that was made in the building construction industry, in Santa Maria, showing what IPE’s are being supplies by this organizations and what is the demand of them. Was observed that many IEP’s, that are obligatory, was not being supplied by the building construction industry, only three kinds are being 100% supplied (helmet, shoes and safety belt). But, almost all IPE’s, that are supplied, have the use demanded. Is important point out that to get a better diagnosis of this subject is necessary to make researches “in loco”, where the building are being made. 1 INTRODUÇÃO Qualidade é, atualmente, exigência com a qual as empresas convivem diariamente. Os consumidores estão tomando consciência de seus direitos e já não escolhem um produto ou serviço apenas pelo preço. A qualidade tornou-se fator crucial numa decisão de compra e, constitui grande diferencial de uma empresa em relação a outra. As empresa parecem estar despertando para a realidade de que a qualidade é uma exigência da qual não podem fugir.
