Resumo

Dentro do grande grupo das Necessidades Educativas Especiais (NEE), as Dificuldades de Aprendizagem (DA) são a problemática com maior taxa de prevalência (48%). Segundo a
Associação Portuguesa de Pessoas com Dificuldades de Aprendizagem Específicas, o número de alunos com estes distúrbios tem vindo a aumentar, registando-se actualmente uma prevalência de 5% a 10% da população total de alunos.

Assim, torna-se imprescindível que quem convive, ensina e/ou trabalha diariamente com crianças com Dislexia, Disgrafia, Disortografia e/ou Discalculia esteja preparado para compreender as suas características e responder às suas necessidades específicas, designadamente promovendo a criação de contextos educativos e pedagógicos individualizados, que estimulem o desenvolvimento pessoal e social, a aprendizagem e o sucesso escolar e profissional.

Abstrat

Within the large group of Special Educational Needs, the Learning Disabilities have the highest prevalence rate (48%). According to the Portuguese Association of People with
Specific Learning Disabilities, the number of students with these disorders has been increasing and the current prevalence ranges from 5% to 10% of student´s total population.

Therefore, those who live, teach and/or work daily with children with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia,
Dysorthographia and/or Dyscalculia, must understand exactly what these disorders are all about and be able to respond accordingly to the specific challenges they pose, meaning the creation of individualized learning environments that should encourage personal and social
