This paper analyzes the influence of the environmental actions in the performance of 32 large and medium sized companies of different industrial sectors, according to the perception of its directors. It is an exploratory-descriptive study, of cross section and quanti-qualitative type with the double objective of specifying the bases of a model of environmental management that identify variable and your relations. The data collection was made by means of interviews with questionnaire. The data was submit to convenient statistic treatment and the result of the preliminary model that establish an advanced model. The primary contributions that the studys gathers are to extend the comprehension of the main aspects that influence the environmental management and serve as departure point for future investigations.
