O objetivo deste artigo é identificar os benefícios trazidos pela norma SA8000 para as empresas que são certificadas. A pesquisa foi de caráter exploratório, através de um estudo de caso em duas empresas, por meio de questionário eletrônico, aplicado em duas empresas localizadas no estado de São Paulo, a KRATON Polymers do Brasil e a Editora Melhoramentos, para a identificação os benefícios da certificação social. O estudo resultou na identificação de benefícios trazidos tanto para a empresa como para os funcionários, os clientes como para a sociedade. Apresentou como conseqüência a satisfação de clientes internos e clientes externos. A discussão final propõe a necessidade de investigações mais sistemáticas neste tema, contempla a importância de se desvendar os mecanismos pelos quais as transformações estão ocorrendo no campo da responsabilidade social e advoga a viabilização da participação das partes interessadas.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this article is to identify the benefits brought for certification SA8000 for the companies who are certifyd. The research was of exploratory character, through a estudy of case, by means of electronic questionnaire, applied in two companies located in the state of São Paulo, the KRATON Polymers of Brazil and the Editora Melhoramentos, for the identification the benefits of the social certification. The study it resulted in such a way in the identification of benefits brought for the company as for the employees, the customers for the society. The satisfaction of internal customers and external customers presented as consequence. The final quarrel considers the necessity of more systematic inquiries in this subject, contemplates the importance of if unmasking the mechanisms for which the transformations are occurring in
