ARGO is based in true events that six Americans manage to slip away when the United States embassy is invaded and fifty two people are taken as hostages by militants during the Iranian revolution in 1979. The ones that escape find refuge in the home of the ambassador from Canada, but they are most probably be killed when found missing. Tony Mendez, an exfiltration expert from CIA takes a risky plan of creating a fake science-fiction movie named ARGO the refugees out safely of the country before that happens. The production of the fake movie would use the desertic landscapes of Iran as rental and the six Americans would be part of the crew scouting for shooting locations, and the project goes ahead with the help of real Hollywood producers. The movie got a rate of 96% fresh being described as "Tense, exciting, and often darkly comic, Argo recreates a historical event with vivid attention to detail and finely wrought characters." The CNN critics by Tom Charity that Ben Affleck that acted and also directed the movie found a positive spin in a complicated episodes of the U.S. foreign policy making the film fills smartly in the plot reminding the viewers of the Iranian monarchy supported by the currently president during that time that resulted in anti-American fury.
