RESUMO
Uma das principais discussões em educação e na pedagogia tem estado relacionado com o modo de pensar a inter-relação teoria crítica e teoria pós-crítica. Uma abordagem comparativa necessita de estar ligada ao estruturalismo e ao pós-estruturalismo, principalmente quando a discussão está centrada nas dimensões social e pessoal. Neste artigo, analisarei o passado, presente e futuro da teoria crítica, identificando alguns problemas metodológicos, de modo a compreender a complexidade do campo dos estudos curriculares.

ABSTRACT
One of the most considerable discussions in education and pedagogy has been related to think about the interrelation between critical theory and post-critical theory. A comparable approach needs to be rooted in the structuralism and post-structuralism, especially when the discussion is centered in the social and personal dimensions. In this article I will analyze the past, the present and the future of the critical theory identifying some epistemological problems in order to understand the complexity of the curriculum studies field.
