PESTE SUÍNA CLÁSSICA – REVISÃO DE LITERATURA

CLASSICAL SWINE FEVER – LITERATURE REVIEW

RESUMO A peste suína clássica ou febre suína é uma doença infecciosa cujo nível de morbidade entre os animais é alta e afeta os suídeos (suínos domésticos e javalis selvagens). É uma doença de etiologia viral, causada por um vírus do gênero Pestivírus. Afeta os sistemas linfático e circulatório dos suínos, dentre outros sistemas, manifestando-se sob a forma de hemorragias múltiplas com pontos de cianose, febre alta (>41ºC), conjuntivite, diarréia, eritemas e problemas reprodutivos. Pode ser dividida e caracterizada por período de duração da infecção e quanto ao período em que ocorreu a infecção. A divisão pode ser peste suína pós-natal aguda, pós-natal crônica, pré-natal e manifestação tardia. A taxa de mortalidade nesses animais é alta, portanto não é realizado tratamento e os animais devem ser abatidos.

ABSTRACT Classical swine fever or swine fever is an infectious disease whose level of morbidity among animals is high and affects swine (domestic pigs and wild boar). It is a viral etiology disease caused by a virus of the genus Pestivirus. It affects the lymphatic and circulatory systems of the pigs, among other systems, manifesting itself in the form of cyanosis multiple bleeding points, high fever (> 41 ° C), conjunctivitis, diarrhea, rashes, and reproductive problems. It can be characterized and divided by duration of the infection and about the period when the infection occurred. This division can be swine fever acute postnatal, chronic postnatal, prenatal and late manifestation. The mortality rate in these animals is high, so it is not performed treatment and animals should be slaughtered.
