ABSTRACT

This work aims to evaluate the servant leadership as a possible management trend in today's organizations. Therefore, your specific goals are to trace the history of leadership and its change of focus on tasks to focus on people, highlighting the different approaches of this, understanding the motivation as a starting point for good performance in organizational management, differentiating power of authority, important for the understanding of the topic; describe the model of servant leadership and its introduction in the corporate world, from the work of James Hunter, the Servant, 2004, with the vision of other renowned authors, and finally analyze the servant leadership as a differential current management. The methodology used was the literature, because the work was based on research and analysis of various authors, with the result showing servant leadership as management trend in today's organizations.
