New Zealand is an island country in the south-western Pacific Ocean. The country has two main islands ‒ the North and South Islands ‒ and numerous smaller islands. NewZealand is located about 1 000 km east autralia.
Because of its remoteness, it was one of the last lands to be settled by humans.
Its territory is long and narrow.with approximately 1500km of coastline.
New Zealand is part of Zealandia, a microcontinent nearly half the size of Australia
New Zealand has a mild and temperatemaritime climate. Conditions vary sharply across regions from extremely wet to almost semi-arid.
This contry´s geographic isolation is responsible for its unique speciesof flora and fauna.
the lack of mammalian predators in the forests led to some unique species of birds evolving flightlessness, causing them to exist only in thiscountry.
Since the arrival of humans some species have become extinct or had their number reduced significantly. However, new zealand was some of the pioneers to explorerdifferent methods to help recover some threatened wildlife.
New Zealand has a modern, prosperous and developed market economy
English is the main languange and itsspoken by most of the populacion
New Zealand has a well devolepted and current educacion, and religion wise Christianity is the predominant religion, although itssociety is among the most secular in the world.
The rural life in early new Zealand led to the image of New Zealanders being industrious problem solvers.
It includestraditional Māori art, which was developed in New Zealand from Polynesian art forms. More recent forms took their inspiritcion from Māori, European and other traditions.
