Abstract. This article intended to investigate the insertion of the ERP systems in the brazilian organizations. The investigation was carried out with the executives of the organizations that had a important participation in the implementation. The fist thing that this work pretended to know, was if in the implementation exist a natural sequence in the way, if they considered strategic factors like, low cost reduction, productivity or others reasons. The second investigated was if in the organizations existed a prefixed implantation depending in the kind of objectives that they were trying to reach, and how the implantation was having relations with the value chain. The result demonstrated that the organizations, they are utilizing the ERP systems to reach a internal cost reduction and to have a better departments integration.
Resumo. Esse artigo se propôs a estudar a inserção de sistemas integrados
ERP em empresas nacionais. A pesquisa foi realizada com executivos que tiveram uma participação importante na implantação. Primeiro se pretendeu avaliar a existência de uma seqüência natural no seu uso ou algum tipo de evolução de implementação; se eram fatores estratégicos, ou se por outros motivos. Segundo, analisou-se a padronização na implantação de módulos de
ERP, se estava seguindo uma estratégia de diminuição de custos, se conhecia que módulos seriam usados e em que atividades. Os resultados demonstraram que as empresas usam-no para uma diminuição de custos, como também para poder alcançar níveis adequados de integração interna e modernização.
