RESUMO
A terapia genética é uma nova modalidade terapêutica da medicina. Trata-se de um conjunto de técnicas ainda incipiente e em fase apenas inicial de testes, mas que nos permite vislumbrar a possibilidade de cura para doenças consideradas incuráveis, como as de origem predominantemente genética ou hereditária (como exemplo podem ser citadas: distrofias musculares, fibrose cística, fenilcetonúria, cancro, disfunção endotelial, entre outras).
Uma boa definição de terapia genética é a transferência de material genético para células humanas, com o objectivo de prevenir ou tratar doenças.
Neste artigo sera abordado o tema do doping genético exper iencias feitas com animais e os resultados do doping genético no desporto, assim como a definição do tratamento a nível científico e as suas causas para quem usa doping genético com o fim de obter resultados desportivos.

ABSTRACT
This article aims to bring more detailed information about the type of doping that this will have to use each year since 2008 and has remained somewhat under wraps. That can only be imagined in science fiction movies that become a reality very worrying and serious problems in the sports world.The synthetic
EPO doping one of the most widely used forms of today, is being replaced by a new discovery at the genetic level and now with the same functions as the synthetic EPO doping. This article is to present what is genetics and how the therapy is being misused in the sports world, the dangers for those who illegally use in sport and the dangers to public health.
