CÂMBIO – VERTENTE NA IMPORTAÇÃO X EXPORTAÇÃO A PARTIR DO GOVERNO LULA[1]

RESUMO: O presente artigo aborda o comportamento das exportações e importações em função da taxa de câmbio, a partir do governo Luis Inácio Lula da Silva. Com a globalização da economia e as mudanças no cenário brasileiro diante da abertura da economia nacional no início da última década, objetiva com este estudo demonstrar, evidentemente de forma não exaustiva, como o mercado de câmbio pode interferir nas exportações e importações, inclusive em consequência de várias crises internas e, principalmente, externas. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Conclui-se que as medidas adotadas pelo governo brasileiro, em especial a implantação do câmbio flutuante, contribuíram decisivamente para o sucesso do comércio exterior, o que permitiu a inserção definitiva do país no mercado mundial.

ABSTRACT: The present article deal with of the exports and imports behavior in function of the exchange rate, from the Luis Inácio Lula da Silva government. With the economy globalization and the changes in the Brazilian setting faced with the opening of the national economy, at the beginning of the last decade, this study comes to demonstrate, obviously not in the exhaustive way, how the exchange market can interfere in the exports and imports, also as a result of several internal crises, and principally, external ones. The used methodology was the bibliographical and documentary inquiry. It is ended that the measures adopted by the Brazilian government, in special the introduction of the floating exchange, contributed decisively for the success of the exterior trade, which allowed the definite insertion of the country in the world-wide market.
