A exodontia profilática dos terceiros molares tem sido um prática recorrente na clínica odontológica. Sua remoção visa evitar a instalação de patologias e complicações. A técnica cirúrgica de exodontia de terceiros molares, muitas vezes pode ser tornar um desafio frente a localização do dente e sua relação com as estruturas anatômicas adjacentes. Dessa forma, torna-se imprescindível um planejamento adequado com a escolha do traço incisional apropriado. No intuito de auxiliar o cirurgião dentista no planejamento cirúrgico, foram criadas classificações como a de Pell & Gregory. O objetivo desse trabalho é revisar a literatura quanto aos tipos de incisões associado a classificação de Pell & Gregory. Palavras-chaves: Cirurgia Oral. Terceiros Molares. ABSTRACT
The prophylactic extraction of third molars has been a common practice in the dental clinic. Their removal is intended to avoid the installation of diseases and complications. The surgical technique for extraction of third molars, can often be become a front location of the tooth and its relationship with surrounding anatomical structures challenge. Thus, it becomes essential to proper planning with the appropriate choice of incisional trait. To assist the dental surgeon in surgical planning, classifications were created as Pell & Gregory. The aim of this paper is to review the literature regarding the types of incisions associated with classification of Pell & Gregory. Key-words: Oral Surgery. Third Molars. Rating Pell & Gregory.
