Abstract— This study aims to evaluate the position adjustments between individuals with the preserved vision and momentary privation of the vision. The electromyography
(EMG) of the trunk muscles and inferior member of the right side will be measured with dismissable surface electrodes. The point of balance it was identified through an image system and a force platform calculating speed and acceleration of the center of mass (COM) and the center of pressure (COP) identifying the first instant where it coincides the resultant of the COP with the gravity line (GL) in the standing posture thus determining the Instantaneous Equilibrium Point (IEP).
From this point we select the antecipatory postural adjustment
(APA) and the compensatory postural adjustment (CPA) for the electromyography analysis. The task of control position will be the fast extension of the trunk, 90 degrees of the hip flexion, trunk parallel to the ground up to the extension standing posture after a sonorous signal. We intend to calculate the anticipatory postural adjustment and the compensatory position adjustment of the EMG signals at the moment (time) that these processes was activated getting to the standing posture, comparing them with individuals with the preserved vision and momentary privation of the vision.
