RESUMO

Este trabalho trata de uma etapa inicial da implementação Lean Manufacturing em uma linha de montagem de aparelhos de ar condicionado para ônibus, com o objetivo de melhorar a eficiência dos recursos de mão-de-obra. O início do trabalho se deu com o uso do VSM, como ferramenta para a identificação das oportunidades de eliminação de desperdícios, para as quais foi realizado um cronograma de implementação. A implementação das ações se deu com o uso dos princípios do 5S e atingiu-se um aumento na eficiência dos recursos de mãode-obra de 27,7%, além de ganhos de espaço, melhor ambiente e maior facilidade no suprimento de alguns itens.

ABSTRACT

This paper is an initial step in implementing Lean Manufacturing on an assembly line of air conditioners for buses, with the goal is improving efficiency to the labor resource. The beginning of the work took place using the VSM as a tool for identifying opportunities to eliminate wastes, for which we carried out a timeline for implementation. The implementation of the actions occurred with the use of the 5s principles and achieved an increase in labor resource efficiency by 27.7%, and gains in space, better environment and greater ease in the supply of some items.
